Named after a master stonemason who was prominent in Leeds at the turn of the century, Haley's Hotel and Restaurant, an AA 4 Star Townhouse, is now established as one of the City's finest hotels with a string of prestigious awards. Haley's owner has learned lessons from his sojourns in many hotels - and it shows - but the hard thing to remember is that you are just two miles out of the city. Beautifully designed deluxe rooms in neighbouring Bedford House, a Grade II listed building, once the home of a Victorian gentleman. Leeds has lots to offer visitors. 'Musts' are the Royal Armouries which house the Tower of London's collection of arms and Thackray Medical Museum at 'Jimmy's' Hospital which tells the story of early surgery and slum life in Victorian times. Leave M621 at Junction 3 (Leeds City Centre). Cross city centre and follow signs around Inner Loop for Skipton A660 and local signs to University. Pass University half mile north of city centre. Continue one and a half miles to Headingley Village. Notice the 'Skyrack' public house on the left as the road bends slightly to the right. Shire Oak Road is the first road on the right between the HSBC (Midland) Bank and Starbucks Coffee House. From the West (M62) Leave M62 at Junction 27 joining the M621 into Leeds. Leave the M621 at Junction 2. At end of slip road, turn left to Harrogate/ Wetherby /York. At next roundabout, turn right for the city centre. Take the A58M inner ring road and take the first exit from the tunnel for Skipton, A660. Pass University half mile north of city centre. Continue one and a half miles to Headingley Village. Notice the 'Skyrack' public house on the left as the road bends slightly to the right. Shire Oak Road is the first road on the right between the HSBC (Midland) Bank and Starbucks Coffee House. From the North (Harrogate, Wetherby, York) Follow the Leeds Outer ring road A6120 westwards to the junction with the Otley Road A660. Turn left towards City Centre. Enter Headingley Village after two miles. Proceed through two junctions with sets of traffic lights. Shire Oak Road is on the left towards the end of the shopping area, between the HSBC (Midland) Bank and Starbucks Coffee House.
